Founded in 2006, the Pope John Paul II Society of Evangelists and School of Evangelization, Inc., is registered under the United States Internal Revenue, Code 26, as a 501(c3), a Non-profit, religious organization. Evangelization is an essential mission of the Catholic Church and the Pope John Paul II Society of Evangelists. Evangelization is thought of by many as the process of making new Catholics. While bringing new people to the faith is an essential component of evangelization, it is important to realize that it is much more than just that. Evangelization is also the process of reaching out to inactive Catholics, and to bring practicing Catholics to a deeper understanding of and devotion to their faith. The Pope John Paul II Society of Evangelists and School of Evangelization Inc.™, has undertaken a two-pronged attack on secularization. First, we make evangelization materials available for members at no cost (by download) and books and booklets at far below retail prices. We also offer numerous lectures on CDs by Catholic experts on various aspects of the Faith. The idea is that if materials are inexpensive enough, people can afford to give them away when an evangelization opportunity arises. Secondly, the Society will operate a school of evangelization. Language Coordinators The Pope John Paul II Society of Evangelists and School of Evangelization, Inc. is in need of skilled (professional) volunteers who are able to translate our website and materials from English into other languages. At the present time it is estimated that there are approximately, 327 million English, 153 Million Chinese, 87 million Japanese, 86 million Spanish, 58 million German, 54 million French, 34 million Portuguese, 33 million Korean, 30 million Italian, and 28 million Arabic speaking people with access to the Internet. These numbers amount to 81.8% of the world's Internet users and we want to make our evangelization materials available to every one of them.
